Showreel Bingo was one of the first Jumpman bingo sites to launch, way back in 2012. It’s now got a fresh new look and a welcome offer that awards spins on that super popular slot, Bonanza.
You know that by playing at a Jumpman site like ShowReel Bingo, you’re dealing with a network that’s renowned for offering safe, fair gameplay for players in the UK. ShowReel has all of the same hallmarks of other sites on the network like a library of games that runs 3000+ deep, plus the Trophies-based rewards system.
I have mixed feelings about how ShowReel Bingo presents itself, though. I like the idea of a movie-centric design, but once you’re logged in, it feels more like a typical Jumpman layout with just a few cinematic elements thrown on top. Nothing really screams “Hollywood” or “Silver Screen,” beyond a few icons and images. Then again, if a site’s main focus is its games and bingo rooms, having very strong theming is just a bit of a bonus.
If you’ve signed up for a Jumpman casino before, it’s going to feel a bit like deja vu here. That’s not a bad thing, though, because it’s all very straightforward.
The registration form asks for the usual details – name, address and date of birth. You also set up a username and password. One thing to note is that, if you’ve signed up at another Jumpman casino, you can’t use the same username twice. You’ll still be registered separately on each site, but you can’t reuse a username – which can be a little bit confusing.
If your info can be automatically verified, you’re in straight away; if not, you just provide ID documents like a driver’s licence. Pretty standard fare these days.
Given the name, you’d hope ShowReel Bingo is the kind of site that has a buzzing bingo experience. And, while it does have a decent spread of Pragmatic Play bingo rooms – 90-ball, 80-ball, 75-ball, 30-ball and various specials – it’s fairly standard.
It’s more like a handful of rooms rather than a huge selection of daily schedules. The good news is that at least a few rooms tend to be open around the clock, so you can pop in whenever you fancy playing.
As for the vibe, unfortunately it’s pretty well non existent. Some Pragmatic Play bingo sites have hosted chat, but Jumpman brands don’t.
Still, there are some pretty big jackpots in play. Due to the size of the Pragmatic Play bingo network, the room jackpots can climb to be a lot bigger than you’d expect from a site that doesn’t revolve solely around bingo.
On the downside, I’d call the interface a little bit clunky. From the main Bingo page, you often have to open one room, then back out to a “lobby” to see what else is running. It feels like more clicks than necessary but if you’ve tried any other Jumpman bingo sites, you’ll recognize the setup immediately. It’s definitely functional, but not the most polished bingo lobby integration out there right now.
If you’re coming for the slots, this where ShowReel Bingo really shines. The range is nothing short of mammoth with over 3,000 titles from big-name providers such as Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, and Play’n GO, as well as more unusual studios like Hacksaw.
What I appreciate most about the slots lobby here is that new games tend to appear relatively quickly. If I know a studio is releasing a specific game today, ShowReel Bingo is where I’ll go first to be able to give it a try.
Since there’s such a big selection games here, I would have liked to see better filtering options so you can browse by theme or feature – but all you really have at your disposal are some curated categories for groups of popular games like Megaways and Cult Classics.
Most of the games are video slots, but if you prefer table games, you’ll find a small cluster of RNG blackjack and roulette variants and just one RNG baccarat game. Fortunately, there’s a bigger live dealer lobby, which is where you’ll find loads interesting games like Cash Collect Roulette and Jade Blackjack.
There are live game shows here, too, but – annoyingly – they’re not automatically placed on any of the Live Casino pages. You have to search for them which is difficult to do if you don’t know the games of any off the top of your head. To get you started, I’ll recommend a few to check out first: Mega Wheel, Sweet Bonanza Candyland and Vegas Ball Bonanza.
The progressive jackpot selection here is mostly Eyecon-based but I was pleased to see some of my favourite Yggdrasil games in there like Holmes and the Stolen Stones. The irritating bit is that there aren’t any live jackpot counters on the thumbnails in the lobby. So, you have to open each game, let it load and then deciding whether or not the prize is worth playing for.
Like other Jumpman sites, ShowReel Bingo always offers lots of different promotions. These include network promotions like Games Global’s Mystic Masters Leadboard along with their own giveaways for free spins and gadgets.
The main draw in the Promotions section of the site, though, is Trophies – which you earn by mini-challenges—playing certain games, making deposits, and so on. Every five Trophies you get, you’ll level up and grab a spin on the Mega Wheel, where you can get bonus funds or slot spins.
While I do appreciate this novel approach to handing out casino bonuses, something I don’t quite get along with is the wagering requirement. At 65x, this is pretty steep for the online casino world, especially when most places I’ve played have playthroughs of 35x to 50x.
When it comes to banking, Jumpman’s cashier options cover debit cards, e-wallets like PayPal or Skrill, and Pay by Mobile. These are all pretty straightforward to use and there’s no real learning curve involved with making deposits at ShowReel Bingo.
Withdrawals are another story, though. While instant withdrawals are becoming the norm at UK casinos, ShowReel and other Jumpman sites still have a pending period of up to 72 hours (24 hours if they are already happy with your ID verification). So, from the time you submit you withdrawal request, in can be as much as three days before it even goes on to your bank or e-wallet for the processing on their end.
All told, ShowReel Bingo delivers the classic Jumpman formula – a relatively small but busy bingo lobby with decent prize pools, a huge selection of slots and a fun Trophies-based reward system. The film-inspired theme doesn’t exactly blow me away but it’s enough to keep the site from feeling totally generic.
If you’ve tried other Jumpman sites, there will be zero surprises for you in store at ShowReel Bingo. Sure, there are some drawbacks – like the 65x wagering requirements and limited filtering in the slots section – but they’re only small quibbles. Overall, the site has everything you need to enjoy yourself while playing top slots and bingo games.
Jumpman’s standard Responsible Gaming policy is brief and covers the basic Gambling Commission requirements with no frills.
