The Daily Mirror’s bingo site is on the Jumpman Gaming platform with bingo rooms by Pragmatic Play.
Mirror Bingo has a long history. The current version of the site was launched on the Jumpman Gaming platform in 2020. It wasn’t the first platform change for the brand, but it may well be the last. The previous change was all the way back in 2014 when it became a Virtue Fusion bingo site. Unfortunately that partnership didn’t work out so well, as the site became more and more neglected looking over the years, whereas Jumpman’s management of Mirror Bingo and other Reach sites including Star Wins and Express Wins seems to be much more on the ball and makes a lot more of what is after all a household name. A much bigger name, in fact, than Jumpman themselves so it’s not hard to see why players might feel more comfortable playing at Mirror Bingo than at some other random Jumpman brand.
Mirror Bingo’s home page gives the bingo rooms pride of place and there’s also a bingo specific page with information about different types of bingo games and a FAQ for newbies. This is quite the contrast to most Jumpman sites where you might not even realise there is any bingo from the home page. Under the hood, though, it’s the same bingo rooms as at every other site with a Jumpman licence (including those which don’t even have the word bingo in their name).
It can’t be denied that Pragmatic Play bingo is a great product. There’s several different types of bingo available – 30 ball, 80 ball, 75 ball, Animingo, and three flavours of 90 ball including one (Diamond Dazzle) that is conceptually very close to Deal or No Deal Bingo.
The very widely networked bingo rooms mean that there’s usually worthwhile prizes to play for and there’s also regular and seasonal fixed jackpot games. The very powerful prebuy facilities mean you can buy tickets up to a month in advance. But – and unfortunately it is a big but – the implementation of the Pragmatic Play bingo product at Jumpman falls down on two points that many players will consider to be very important.
If you are into slots as much as bingo, Mirror Bingo has a great deal to offer in that department. All of the promotions including the welcome offer are focused on slots, and the sheer range of games on offer is very impressive. They also keep adding new games every few days so you’ll never run out of fresh games to try out. And the Jumpman lobby is one of the easiest to use if you want to play slots on a mobile phone.
The simplicity of the lobby comes at a cost though – there’s no information on the game tiles beyond the name of the game and there’s very little game categorisation. The Slots tab does have some carousels showcasing games by the theme but the distinctions seem a bit flaky – for example, we’re really not at all sure why Deal Or No Deal Slingo and The Dog House Dead Or Alive have been classified under “Cosmic Adventure”.
Speaking of Slingo, there’s more than 60 of these games at Mirror Bingo which is one of the best selections you’ll find anywhere.
The Jackpots part of the lobby is rather less impressive. Almost all of the games in there are by just one provider, Eyecon, and the game tiles don’t give any indication of the size of the jackpot.
There’s no option to save games as your favourites but your most recently played games show up on the home page if you’re logged in, so it’s easy to return to a game you enjoyed.
The Casino lobby tab has non live dealer roulette, blackjack and baccarat and the Live lobby has live dealer versions of the same games. Do some digging via the search box and you’ll find they have a few game shows as well (at least for now).
Another way to find games is to browse through the whole A-Z list (which includes everything, not just slot games) but be ready to do a LOT of scrolling (you’ll be 160 games in before you even get to letter A).
Jumpman sites are well known for their promotions including network prize draws, slot tournaments run in conjunction with games providers, a daily free game where you can win slot spins plus any number of spin the wheel style redeposit offers (some of these are on the promotions page and others sent out via email or text). There’s also a player rewards system that involves completing achievements to collect trophies; level up and you can claim yet another spin the wheel style offer. This extensive gamification is one of the big plus points of the Jumpman platform.
Unfortunately there are a few minus points as well such as high wagering requirements and fees for withdrawals.
Mirror Bingo certainly isn’t a conventional bingo site, but it could be a great choice for someone who likes to play both slots and bingo, enjoys spin the wheel type offers and isn’t into chatting.
There’s a fairly basic responsible gambling page and section in the Terms and Conditions. Covers the requirements but no frills. Setting deposit limits can be done from the responsible gambling page but self exclusion has to be done by email. If you self exclude it applies to all sites with a Jumpman licence not just Mirror Bingo.
