Launched in 2016, Dove Slots is a Jumpman Gaming online casino with a huge range of slot games and bingo rooms by Pragmatic Play. After experimenting with a slot bonus welcome offer it’s now back to the usual spin the wheel affair.
Launched in 2016, Dove Slots is a Jumpman-powered online casino featuring over 3000 slots, a small but fun bingo selection and a unique, gamified bonus system. It’s quite similar to the other casinos under the Jumpman umbrella so, if you’ve played at places like Amazon Slots and Wild West Wins, then you’re going to like what’s on offer here.
As its name suggests, Dove Slots is themed around these peaceful birds. It’s pretty unusual, if you ask me – but, there are so many Jumpman Casinos out there, I respect the operator for trying to do something a little different with each site.
For anyone who’s played at a Jumpman Casino, getting registered here will feel familiar. Just enter your name, email address and date of birth on the first screen before entering your home address on the second screen.
The final step is choosing a username and password. Note that you can’t use the same username to sign up to different Jumpman sites – but this doesn’t mean they’re interchangeable across sites. It’s a little confusing at first, but you’ll get used to it once you’ve registered at a couple of Jumpman casinos.
You can also use PayPal to register, but this doesn’t really make much of a difference. It just allows you to sign up and deposit in fell swoop – but it’s not worth taking advantage of, in my opinion.
At Dove Slots, you’ll find quite a small selection of bingo rooms. It features a range of popular variants like 90-ball bingo, 80-ball bingo and Pragmatic Play’s ever-popular Animingo. At any given time, you’ll find at least three or four rooms running a game with a decent group of players so it’s fairly busy.
The prices range from 1p per ticket to 50p, and the jackpots on offer can grow to some pretty impressive heights. It’s not unusual for there to be jackpots of £7,000 up for grabs and the static prizes are what I would call reasonable relative to their ticket prices. For example, the prize pool in the 5p Jackpot Room is £30 while Diamond Dazzle offers an £80 prize pool with tickets costing 15p.
While the selection of games is solid, I found the interface left a lot to be desired. When you click on the Bingo tab, you’re shown tiles for each of the rooms with the number of players in each room, the jackpot and a countdown until the next game starts – you can’t buy tickets from here or easily navigate between the rooms.
First, you have to open one of the rooms, and then click on Lobby. This takes you to the real bingo lobby where you can pre-buy tickets for each room, and even buy tickets for multiple rooms at once. It’s a roundabout way to get to the actual bingo homepage, and I wish the casino would make that area more accessible.
This is where the site really shines, with over 3000 slots available and new games being added almost every day. The site does a good job of highlighting slots that are worth playing, making sure new slots are given the spotlight the day they’re launched and organising them into handy little categories based on popular themes like fishing and space.
Dozens of different studios power the games at Dove Slots, with titles from Play’n GO, ELK Studios Pragmatic Play and NetEnt all available. This is just a small fraction of the game providers on the site, though, and you’ll be able to experience slots from both heavy hitters in the gaming world as well as smaller, independent brands.
Something that could be improved about the slots selection, though, is giving players a little bit more control over their browsing. I appreciate the categories that steer me towards top games but what if I wanted to find something for myself, based on the themes and features I like most? The site isn’t really built for that. I can’t filter games with sticky wilds or cascading reels, for example. If I wanted to, I would have to open a game and look at its paytable.
Navigating to the progressive jackpots area – you’ll see over 60 games. Most of these are from Eyecon, which are progressive versions of their classics like Secret Garden and Fluffy Favourites but a few Yggdrasil-powered jackpots in there like Jackpot Raiders and Ozwin’s Jackpots. The lobby doesn’t feature jackpot counters, though, so, the same issue arises that you encounter in the main slots lobby – you have to click on every tile to see the game details, including the jackpot value. It would be much more user-friendly if each game thumbnail showed a jackpot counter.
When it comes to table games (both live and RNG), Dove Slots has a pretty good selection but it’s definitely not the main draw. The live casino lobby has Live Baccarat, Live Roulette and Live Blackjack – mostly powered by Playtech. The RNG table games lobby has the same variants available. So, if you fancy taking a break from slots and bingo, there should be enough in these two lobbies to keep you entertained.
In terms of bonuses, what’s on offer here is very impressive. The Promotions page is always full of different bonuses, including gadget giveaways and leaderboard tournaments.
Most of the promotions revolve around Trophies. As you play different games, you’ll collect trophies and, for every, five trophies you collect, you’ll get the opportunity to claim a spin on the Mega Wheel where you can win up to 500 spins on top slots. This isn’t the most sophisticated rewards system but it’s a nice use of gamification and it does set Dove Slots apart from other casinos. Trophies definitely keep things interesting.
In addition, depositors of £100 or more unlock the Turbo Reel which doles out bonus spins on top games like Fluffy Favourites and Starburst. Dove Slots also operates a Happy Hour promotion every Wednesday which awards funded players with bonus spins on selected slots when they login between the hours of 3pm and 7pm.
The selection of banking options is small but convenient. You’ve got access to debit cards, PayPal, Paysafecard, Skrill, Neteller and PaybyMobile. Each one has a £10 minimum deposit and there are no fees for deposits – except you have to pay £2.50 every time you fund your account with PaybyMobile.
The same goes for all withdrawals – they come with a £2.50 fee. So, if you’re the kind of player who makes smaller withdrawals often, this is worth noting.
Dove Slots definitely does a lot of things well, especially when it comes to its huge slots selection and Trophies system. But, there are a few areas where the site could be improved. Bingo navigation is clunky, the lack of detailed filtering for slots makes browsing trickier than it should be, and the £2.50 withdrawal fee is a bit of a downside. But, if you’re mainly here for slots and enjoy Jumpman’s signature promotions, these are small trade-offs for an otherwise solid experience.
If you’re a fan of Jumpman casinos, you’ll feel right at home here, and the addition of bingo gives it a little extra variety. The Trophies system adds a fun twist to player rewards, and while it’s not the most advanced loyalty program, it does keep things interesting.
65 x bonus on slots only excluding progressive jackpots – only bonus play counts
The same fairly basic document as all other Jumpman sites. They have the required safer gambling tools only (deposit limits, reality check, time out, self exclusion) and no others. There’s also advice and links out to external sources of help. Players who self exclude from Dove Slots will also be self excluded from all other Jumpman sites.
