Betzone is a sportbook and casino which launched in 2021 and has moved to a brand new platform for 2025. If you’ve previously played there, you will need to re-register.
I recognise that name I hear you say! Well before you Zone out I will attempt to get you back in the Zone and enlighten you about the Sportsbook and Casino platform Betzone. Established in 1973, Betzone has a number of betting shops scattered around the UK. This operator delivers over 50 years industry experience, knows their stuff and most importantly understands what their customers want. Until quite recently the online arm of their business was provided by Playbook Gaming Ltd. In January 2025, Betzone parted ways with Playbook and have now relaunched with a brand new website.
Prominently but definitely not limited to a Sportsbook, Betzone is the complete package jamming a variety of gaming products all under one umbrella, although I do feel that this site being so new is a work in progress. Games are generally provided by Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming and Relax Gaming with other providers here also on a slightly smaller scale. The homepage is of a black background with some orange to break it up a bit. It basically is the sportsbook with links running down the left hand side to the casino, live casino, promotions and your account area.
When moving to the new website, Betzone did not migrate their existing customers with them, so effectively this is a brand new platform with customers old and new invited to register a new account. So if you did have an account here before you can simply sign up again and enjoy the benefits.
Betzone has an attractive casino welcome package which you can receive by clicking or tapping on the link above. Signing up and registering is a quick, straightforward process which takes a couple of minutes. There are also options to set deposit limits and reality checks before you begin your player experience. At the time of writing you could only deposit via a debit card or bank transfer. This does make this aspect very limited but simple, however more options here would be welcomed. Betzone will try to verify your account when you sign up; however, you could be asked for further verification before you play. Being required to provide ID and proof of address is completely normal and nothing to worry about with Betzone practising due diligence in line with the Gambling Commission.
My first impressions of the sportsbook was that it looks a little basic, with not as many betting markets compared to the more established bookmakers. But what they do offer they do very well. All the stable sports markets are towards the left linking you to Football, Horse racing, Tennis and Rugby to name a few. It also has a betting in-play area covering a few sports which is standard nowadays. I did feel that the presence of an E-sports section was a big miss with you unable to bet on any of these events here. However, Betzone does make up for it a little with a good virtual games area with games from Pragmatic Play. Alongside competitive odds Betzone offers Best Odds Guaranteed on all UK and Irish racing from 10am which is great to see. There is also a cashout function in-play or if you change your mind before an event. Furthermore, there are daily football boosts and the ability to make your own bet with their bet builder tool, including featured bet builders which you can add straight to your bet slip.
Although Betzone does concentrate heavily on their sportsbook their casino is definitely not an afterthought. With games neatly split into a few categories which is always good to see making navigating your way around very simple. Under the popular games section you will find Big Bass Bonanza and Sweet Bonanza both by Pragmatic Play. Talking about Pragmatic Play, Drops and Wins slots gets its own area too with older favourites The Dog House and Starlight Princess easy to find. The new section was respectively right up to date with titles added weekly. On my visit games included Hounds of the Hell by Hacksaw Gaming and Pond Life by Inspired. Furthermore, Megaway slot games rightfully gets its own section with a healthy 60+ titles which consist of Curse of the Werewolf and Chilli Heat Megaways. I did enjoy the Hold and Win area which consists of titles mainly provided by Playson. You can search for your favourite games by name via the search function, but I was a little discouraged that you cannot search games by provider or even save your favorites. Also disappointingly there aren’t currently any Progressive Jackpot games.
Beside their sportsbook and slot games there is also an good assortment of live casino options placed conveniently within its own lobby category. Betzone does a great job organising all these live games, (which are generally provided by Pragmatic Play) into their own sections with Blackjack, Roulette and Baccarat straightforward to navigate to. There are a handful of Game Shows present including Snakes and Ladders and Boom City but considering how popular they are I thought they would have provided more. Also there are no Slingo games provided. Alternatively there are also a handful of crash games, a good choice of video table games and a well stocked instant win area with some fun Plinko titles amongst others.
Apart from Betzone’s appealing sports and casino welcome offers as mentioned earlier, ongoing promotions at the time of writing are currently thin on the ground with Pragmatic Play Drops and Wins and Crash and Win the only ones offered. However, I do feel this will change, just keep an eye on your emails as you do get customised offers dropping into your inbox from time to time.
In the digital age it’s important to be able to access everything by the means of a mobile browser and all aspects of this platform are most definitely available on the go or just with your feet up watching the TV. The majority of the mobile platform is a reflection of the desktop version. There isn’t an app available at the time of writing but keep an eye open as there could be one really soon. To be perfectly honest though, Betzone runs great without one.
The customer support options here are of a high standard with the inclusion of a “Safe Zone” which can answer any questions if needed. A live chat function is also available 24/7. You can access this via your account area under help with further options to email Betzone if you have any further questions or queries.
Betzone is a roller coaster ride of both positives and negatives but you do get a good feel about the place. Different payment methods don’t exist. It’s a debit card or a bank transfer but that’s it. Jackpot slots are not available, with no Slingo games in sight and only a handful of Game shows accessible. Nevertheless, they have a lot of great things going for them. They are an established operator with a reassuring high street presence and have a trustworthy reputation renowned for listening to their customers. Their new site does feel very slick and current. Overall they are definitely worth a look at and you never know this might just be your new Comfort Zone casino.
Bonus valid, and wagering must be completed, on these games only:
35x deposit on selected slots only
The Safe Zone banner and lobby tab display responsible gambling information in a pop up when clicked. It’s a sidebar on a computer and a whole screen on a mobile phone. They only have the usual safer gambling tools (deposit limits, play break, self exclusion, link to GAMSTOP) but it’s great to see this type of content given prominence instead of being buried in the footer.
