Barbados Bingo is a Jumpman brand that launched in 2018, originally on Jumpman’s own bingo software network, but which has since switched to the popular Pragmatic Play bingo platform, and expanded to include a range more than a thousand slot games.
Barbados Bingo has followed a similar trajectory to many of the other Jumpman bingo brands over the last few years, as its bingo section hasn’t really progressed, while the slots element has come to dominate.
The site operates on the Jumpman UKGC licence for UK players and on an Alderney Gambling Control Commission for overseas customers, and displays the same GoDaddy SSL protocol verification as the other Jumpman sites, along with a link to the brand’s responsible gaming site Jumpmancares and to various safer gambling organisations. It’s not actually owned by Jumpman, but the owners have many years of experience in the business with a string of other online casinos, some powered by Jumpman and some by Aspire Global.
It’s hard to imagine any Jumpman brands winning any awards for design aesthetics and Barbados Bingo is similar to many of its sister sites in its bland presentation. A generic tropical seascape is the only concession to the site’s brand name, and otherwise, the platform is minimal to the point of looking unfinished.
The sign-up system at Barbados Bingo is a three-page form that takes around a minute to complete, but there is a faster alternative. PayPal users can sign up directly by clicking on the PayPal button, although to use this method you will have to make a deposit at the same time, and you can only choose from set amounts, ranging from £10 to £1000.
You don’t have to complete the KYC process at the time of registration, but you will need to verify your identity before your first withdrawal by uploading the usual documentation (form of ID, proof of address, proof of payment method).
From the unpromising home page, which features a huge welcome bonus promotional banner, a small collection of slot game panels and several paragraphs of information, you need to click on All Games to open the game lobby. This section gives you access to a few more categories. Click on the Slots link and you’ll be able to browse through some themed sections including Mystical, Egyptian and Fishing games, and there’s also a search bar. You can’t search by provider, sub-genre, RTP or other criteria, however, so this is only really useful for players who know the name of the game they’re after.
Bingo isn’t the priority at Barbados Bingo, and it shows. The bingo section features around 10 rooms, sometimes slightly fewer, although the main 30, 75, 80 and 90-ball variants are all covered and there’s always plenty of liquidity courtesy of the Pragmatic Play network.
One improvement that bingo players will notice from the early days of the site is that it is now fully accessible for mobile play. Obviously, this is welcome, but the loss of the chat window, which dramatically reduces the community element, offsets this development.
The bingo rooms all seem to be busy and a couple of the rooms: Bingo Blast and Country Roads often show five-figure room jackpots, although obviously the size of the pot varies. There don’t appear to be many bingo bonuses or free games, although 1p and 2p games are available in the Boombox and Zoom rooms.
One benefit of the Pragmatic Play bingo platform is that all of the rooms give you access to high quality mini games including Wolf Gold and Sweet Bonanza. Be aware, however, that you won’t be able to check out any of the bingo rooms without fully registering with the site.
Slots is clearly the main focus of this site, and if you’re a slots fan, there’s plenty to enjoy here. It’s hard to be sure exactly how many games are available, but appears to be well over 1,000, and we found games from 15 different providers, including Pragmatic Play, Blueprint, Red Tiger, NetEnt and several other top casino developers.
That means you’ll have no problem finding all the most popular slots games, from Immortal Romance and Starburst to 9 Masks Of Fire and Sweet Bonanza. There are also around 19 variations on the Fluffy Favourites theme, along with the usual collection of Egyptian-themed titles, including Eye of Horus and Book of Dead.
The jackpot section of the site doesn’t quite hit the same level. There are 60+ games here, and the list includes popular titles by Eyecon and Core gaming, but there’s nothing on the scale of Mega Fortune or Mega Moolah. The lack of information about jackpot size is also a significant issue for players who have to open up each game to get the details.
Aside from the slots, there are over 60 Slingo games here, as well as 20+ scratchcards although neither of these game types have their own section so you have to search for them in a clumsy way by typing the word ‘slingo’ or ‘scratch’ into the search bar and hoping for the best.
The most curious element here, however, is the complete absence of table games and live casino titles. While casino players are used to finding only limited options in these categories, Barbados Bingo once had a selection of the more popular table games, a live dealer section and a handful of more obscure options. Unfortunately, all of those games have been removed, not just from Barbados Bingo, but from all of Fortuna Gaming’s other Jumpman brands as well. This is not the case on other Jumpman sites, however, and it isn’t clear why this decision has been taken.
As with many of the other Jumpman sites, there is a gamification element at Barbados Bingo, in the form of Trophies. If you click on the Trophies option at the top of the home page, you’ll find there are dozens of mini-icons representing the trophies, which are awarded when you play games, make deposits or fulfil other criteria. Every time you earn another five trophies, you get a spin on the Mega Wheel. You’ll also find other regular promotions, such as The 200 Club and Turbo Wheel, which will be familiar if you’ve played at any of the Jumpman sites.
Barbados Bingo offers mobile gaming through a browser-based system, so you won’t find any downloadable apps for iOS or Android devices, although we found that there were no issues with accessing all of the site’s features, and gameplay appears to be smooth.
More work is needed in the customer support department, however. You can access the support platform through the Help button at the foot of the home page or the orange Support icon at the bottom right, although both end up at the same webform. Replies to questions submitted through the form take around two days, but otherwise, there are few options. Despite mention of a live chat facility and an email contact on the Help page, these are not available, and the FAQ section offers the bare minimum of useful information.
Barbados Bingo may meet your needs if you’re looking for a basic selection of popular slots in a no-frills setting and you aren’t interested in table games. If you’re a bingo fan, on the other hand, this site will likely be a disappointment. The Pragmatic Play bingo section is adequate, but there are no bonuses or promotions, and none of the community feel that is a big part of the bingo experience, and it’s hard to see who this site will appeal to in its current form.
Same as at all Jumpman sites – basic safer gambling tools, some advice and a few links to outside sources of help.
how do i contact them other than emails
Very disappointingly, it appears that email is the ONLY way to contact Barbados Bingo and this goes for ALL Jumpman Gaming sites. The Jumpman Gaming parent organisation website also only accepts enquiries via email – and specifically states that player account queries will not be replied to and must be sent to the site where the player account is. As customer service goes this seems pretty poor.
