New Loyalty Shop at Costa Bingo

Updated: 30th Jan 2025
On 4th May, the new Costa Shop was launched at Costa Bingo, giving a new range of options for players wanting to redeem Diamonds from the long-standing loyalty scheme. Previously at Costa, you couldn’t redeem any Diamonds unless you had reached the second tier of the loyalty scheme which requires £50 or more of lifetime deposits, but this is no longer the case for the majority of shop items so the new shop is an immediate improvement – and that’s not all!
It turns out that the new shop is not unique to Costa. This is not much of a surprise as the Diamonds scheme itself isn’t unique to Costa either; it has always been shared between Costa and sister sites such as Sing Bingo and has always had the feature that Diamonds collected at one site in the group could be redeemed at other sites in the group. It goes a lot further than that now, though.
The reason for this dates back to early 2019, when Costa and all its sister sites were sold to 888 who are also the ultimate owners of the Dragonfish software. At that time, all of these sites were on their own “Ignite” bingo network (although they had already featured more widely networked bingo rooms and games from time to time). Some time between then and now, all of the bingo rooms at Ignite (apart from a few daily and weekly specials) have been connected up to the regular bingo rooms at 888 Ladies, Wink Bingo and several other 888 owned Dragonfish sites and in some cases networked even more widely; you may not notice this right away as they go by different names at different sites. For example, the 90 ball room called “24 Cards” at 888 Ladies is known as”Costa Babes” at Costa and at other Ignite sites such as Rewind Bingo it becomes just “90 Ball – 5p”, whereas the 90 ball room called “Bucket N’Spade” at Costa is available at pretty well ALL Dragonfish bingo sites including those on the main Dragonfish network where it goes under the name “Chatterbox”.
Just as the Costa bingo rooms have been merged with the 888 Ladies bingo rooms, so now has the loyalty scheme and that means that the new shop is available at quite a lot of sites! Diamonds are also known as Ladies’ Coins, Reward Coins, Points, Coins, Chips or whatever fits in with the theme of the site you visit the shop from. Assuming that you’ve used the same email address to sign up at more than one site which has the new shop, you’ll see the same number of Diamonds (or whatever they are called at the site you’re logged into) regardless of which account you’re on. When you collect new Diamonds (1 each time you play £1 or more real money on bingo or £10 or more on slots, or from special promotions), they’ll be added to your central balance from wherever you play and can be used anywhere the shop appears. Right now, we’ve verified that includes Costa Bingo and sister sites, 888 Ladies and sister sites, Sky High Slots, Wink Slots and a couple of Dragonfish network bingo sites that were originally owned by Ignite and are now owned by 888 – and there are probably several more.
So is the shop exactly the same at each site? NO! This is one situation where it may be a good idea to shop around.
- The Bingo Tickets tab is not always present. When it is, the tickets that are available are for 4 specific bingo rooms and yes, it’s the same 4 rooms in each case. There’s a 90, a 75, a 52 (playing card) and a 5 line room, all of which are real cash rooms and anything you win will therefore be paid in cash.
- The Real Money and Jackpot Spins tabs are the same in all instances. Real Money needs no explanation and Jackpot Spins only pay out anything in the extremely unlikely case of your hitting the jackpot.
- The Free Spins and Bonus Money tabs are NOT the same in all instances; the prices are the same across all sites but the terms and conditions differ considerably. For instance, the wagering requirement on slot bonuses varies from 30x to 80x and it appears that at Costa free spins winnings are paid in cash whereas at 888 Ladies they are paid as games bonus. It’s possible that these differences in terms and conditions won’t last and that they will end up being the same at all sites, so do check before you spend any Diamonds and preferably before starting to play.
The other thing about the new shop is that it’s really nice looking and super easy to use – just go to the Shop tab in the lobby and it’s all there.
Normally bonuses and other goodies at Dragonfish sites expire if you don’t log into your account for 90 days, but as the Diamonds are shared across multiple sites presumably you only need into one account to keep them live. Do be aware though that if you redeem Diamonds for bingo tickets, spins or a bonus you will forfeit the goodies if you make a cash withdrawal without having used them!
